The homepage of Warlings: Armageddon is quiet simple and easy. You can control the sound and background music with the buttons available at the bottom right of the screen. To start the game, all you need to do is to press the 'Play' button.

The strategy game has four different gaming modes namely Single Player, Hot seat, Bluetooth and Multiplayer. The Single player mode puts you in a battle against the AI whereas the Hot seat allows for two human players to battle against each other on the same screen. The Bluetooth mode allows for a battle against another opponent with the connection made through a Bluetooth connection. Lastly, the multiplayer mode lets you play against a designated friend or any random online player through your internet connection. Before selecting a mode, you can also tap on the 'Armory' button at the top right of the screen and unlock the armory that you want available during the game. Most armory items need to be purchased using diamonds that are picked up in games by killing opponents and winning battles.

In every gaming mode, there are three choices to be made. Firstly, you need to decide the battle arena. There are 10 arenas available with the first four unlocked from the start. Secondly, you need to decide the protection gear for each set of Warlings with 11 different gears available. However, opting for any gear requires the use of diamonds. Lastly, you need to decide the number of team members for each team with choices available from one to five team members. There are three difficulty levels in each game and its best to start with an 'Easy' difficulty level in order to get to grips with the game before moving on to further challenging difficulty levels.
The gameplay itself revolves around destroying the opponents using the available armory items. The items include bombs, guns and different kinds of missiles and target destroying weapons. The game challenges the players to deploy the correct use of weapons in different instances in order to get the best results. The weapon once chosen needs to be aimed correctly in order to put the maximum damage possible to the opponent. Each warling present in the game gets a turn one after another with the dying warlings leaving their turns for their surviving teammates. The warlings can be moved around in forward and reverse directions as well in order to get better aiming opportunities and in order to keep themselves shielded from an on-coming attack too.

The controls of the game are simple and easy and while a tutorial would be great, no complication is present that might need any lengthy tutorials. A game or two are normally enough to understand the weaponry and the controls. The graphics in the game are good enough with the cute warlings well designed. The physics deployed is also accurate with the projectiles normally not defying any rules of physics.
